Downieville Community Hall Rental Information 

The Downieville Community Hall offers competitive rates for both local events and external equipment rentals. The fees below reflect the most current pricing as of April 14, 2025, and are designed to make the newly renovated, ADA-compliant facility accessible for all community needs.

Community Hall Rental Fees

Rental Space Fee Details

Entire Hall Rental -  $425: Secures exclusive use of both the downstairs and the upstairs.

Upstairs Only - $150: Great for larger gatherings, banquets, or formal events.

Meeting Room Only - $90: Ideal for smaller meetings, classes, or private functions.

Full Industrial Kitchen - $200: A flat fee to utilize the brand new, fully equipped kitchen for your event.

Note: All hall rentals (Entire Hall, Upstairs, or Meeting Room) include the use of the available Tables, Chairs, and Bathrooms within the facility at no additional charge.

Refundable Deposits and Scheduling

  • Refundable Security Deposit:

  • Action: Send a $225 check made payable to the Downieville Volunteer Fire Auxiliary.

  • Mail To: Downieville Volunteer Fire Auxiliary, PO Box 192 Downieville CA 95936.

  • Procedure: The check will be held and only deposited if funds are needed. This prevents the need for returns.

  • Requirement: Payer must check the box confirming the $225 check is being sent.

  • Extended Setup/Cleanup: If you need to set up the day before your event or clean up the day after, the charge is equivalent to one-half day rental (50% of your primary rental fee). This provides crucial flexibility for major events.

Community Use and External Rentals

  • Memorials: In recognition of community need, the hall is available for Memorials at no charge.

  • External Equipment Rental: You can rent the Hall’s tables and chairs for use at an offsite, personal location:

    • Tables: $15 each

    • Chairs: $2.00 each

 

These external rental items can be used for as long as needed and are a convenient, cost-effective option for Downieville residents hosting events at home or another venue.
